A chain of cars lined the streets along I-76 and Pecos, where Palladium Nightclub, known for its wild women and men who love them, hosted Culture Heads, a car, truck and bike show this Sunday. A diverse crowd of concert goers, car enthusiasts and bikini clad women gathered in the Palladium parking lot for a cloudy day of hot rods.
Awards such as “Best Engine” and “Best Low Rider Bike” were handed out to ambitious attendees who paid $15 dollars to pre-register their roaring works of metal art. Hooters made an appearance in search of the lucky Denverite who could bulldoze as many famous Hooters wings into their stomach in under 10 minutes. And yes, trophies were given out for the elite wing-eating champions.
Culture Heads welcomed a bevy of live bands and DJ’s who kept the lot rockin’ throughout the hazy day. Isolated Generation and U.S. Pipe & the Balls Johnson Dance Machine, two of the main performers, are both local groups that have begun to make a name for them selves in the Denver music scene.
The scene was scattered with women jousting to become the most beautiful body covered in art or the bikini-equipped champion who will appear in Gauge Magazine along with some hardy party favors at some of Denver’s hottest clubs.
Besides some unfavorable fall weather, Culture Heads was a success and a memorable Sunday for Denver’s hot rod loving population.
