Friday, July 06, 2007 Art Break: Chloe By Image Mag Staff @ 10:01 PM :: 649 Views :: 6 Comments :: :: Art images: Sean Hartgrove wordplay: Erica Easter model: Chloe At first glance, young and beautiful is an expression that undoubtedly describes this incredible, vivacious woman; however, there is more depth and soul within this aspiring artist and musician. Born in Tulsa, Chloè was immersed in art from birth—her mother is an artist, whom she cites as her greatest inspiration, and her father is a concert pianist; therefore, she was busy creating art with her “big blue easel” and studying music on the piano and violin from an early age. Since her childhood, Chloè’s paintings have continued to evolve and are “very, very symbolic;” and, she believes, “When you look at one of my paintings, it is me and you are stepping into my world. I paint a dream, a thought, or a feeling that I had.” Full of texture, color, and floating figures, Chloè says, “My colors are moody and I like to incorporate my travels of the world;” for, her figurative work expresses the sanctity of women throughout history.   When she is not busy painting in the studio, she is writing lyrics and composing music on her guitar. She believes her sound is acoustic soul because “I can play out my poetry and all the songs have more meaning;” but, she would prefer to launch her singing career into the pop realm because, since an early age, her dream has been to become a famous pop-star. Not only is Chloè a painter and musician, but she is also a model, culinary aficionado, writer, and soon to be pilot. She believes the paramount lesson she has learned from her artistic endeavors is, “Be true to yourself, because if no one else likes your music or art then it doesn’t matter because it is you and you do not have to change yourself to be liked.”
