wordplay: Greg Bloom
This literally holds true. If you live downtown or in a home with a detached garage built before 1980, chances are your covered car-storage space is no match for this behemoth made in Japan, of all places, the land of the small. Chock full of amenities, comforts and luxuries, the Armada falls short in no departments save savings. You literally must have total financial freedom or simply not have any other outs in the transportation departments if this is to be your primary vehicle.
If either is the case, you will not be disappointed in your selection. It has a 5.6 Liter DOHC V-8 with 317 HP and 385 lb-ft of torque. Though its “no holds barred” standard equipment leaves no concern for the worrywart, you’ll want to spend the extra $9k to get top of the line pieces and parts to feel the full effect of the Armada. If you don’t get the sunroof, don’t ask for the Bose sound system, don’t include the XM Radio and don’t have the tow package leaving the starting gate, you’ll regret it a soon as you round the first turn. For eight people not to have leg room and for the three areas not to have independent climate control and headphones to enjoy the audio/video entertainment ensemble would be a crime. Drop your $45k and be the most “dialed-in” customer at Costco, the happiest camper at the campground, hitting the slopes and the most comfortable on your cross country road trip. Nissan.com |
