Above & Beyond is one of the best known names in trance today. From sold-out shows to chart-topping originals to remixed masterpieces, A&B has all the bases covered and has certainly raised the bar in their genre of choice. This double-disc set commemorates the 100th release on the Anjunabeats label.

For Armin Van Buuren, 2007 was a great year; it saw the release of two successful mix albums, several hot singles, and his weekly A State of Trance radio show hit its 300th episode. Oh, and 2007 is also the year Armin Van Buuren finally achieved the pinnacle of popularity in dance music.

This Memorial Day weekend, New York is coming to Colorado. Yes, for the first time ever, Danny Tenaglia will be aurally violating Denver. Known as “The DJ’s DJ”, Tenaglia personifies the NY sound. House. Tribal. Dark. Twisted. He’s released more original music and remixes than you can shake a glowstick at.

Finding unique, trendy places to shop for clothes and accessories can be fun, but it is also quite daunting if your budget prevents you from blowing your wad on a single extravagant item. Fortunately for the penny-pinching population determined to dress to impress and still have the luxury of eating for the next month, there is an answer.

M.I.A. is a Third World champion.  The daughter of an actual revolutionary—her father Arul was a wanted rebel in Sri Lanka (pear-shaped island near India)—M.I.A. has a lot to say.  Growing up in perpetual danger of merciless extermination at the hands of your own government can have that effect on you.

The homegrown artist should know, having created work and performed live painting for some of Denver's most roaring clubs, including Lotus and, most recently, Beta Nightclub.  The commission for Beta particularly provided Apodaca the opportunity to ignite the spontaneity of his process to the extreme.

When Flight of the Conchords’ fictional manager Murray Hewitt (a.k.a. Ginger Balls) arranges a shoestring budget video shoot for their tune “The Humans are Dead,” the boys are somewhat reluctantly outfitted in aluminum foil-covered cardboard with flex-tube arms and “function buttons” that remind them of nipples.

G-Funk’s innovative style and daringness to dream has skyrocketed his career, which includes being a Pro Demonstrator for Pioneer, as well as contracts with some of the hottest clubs in the country. Locally, he rocks it with J-Fly Presents, plays DVD sets at both Thëorie and Beta, and is the only Pioneer Pro DJ in the state of Colorado.

In spite of being frequently categorized as depressive and bland, The Cure has become one of alternative rock’s most tenacious and iconic groups. They were alternative before anyone knew pop music needed one. Their chart-topping, Grammy-nominated success is less a testament to their commercial viability and more an indication of just how irresistible their distinctive sound is.
