Elizabeth Rose is practically a Renaissance woman. At the very least, she is one of multiple talents. Not only can she finger the ivories with the best of ‘em, she is also an accomplished Equity actress who recently starred in an indie film called Juncture (FrontRangeFilms.com), which is currently in post-production. Act II, Rose’s sophomore romp, is a sultry, sexy, jazzy affair that recalls the finest of Fiona Apple’s early work. Difference is, Apple’s become notorious for being somewhat of a fruitcake, whereas Rose is unquestionably flowering at the moment. KTNI 101.5 FM is already hooked on both “Addicted” and “Doing the Right Thing,” and a live studio version of “Mercy on Me” has already gotten airplay on 99.5 FM, “The Mountain.” A Rose by any other name, could never sound as sweet.
