Just two years ago a brand, an image, an identity was born, creating a momentum for tattoo-inspired duds, giving the style world something fresh and innovative to buzz about. The name is Ed Hardy, an eponym for tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy; and the trademark—a fusion of the motorcycle and tattoo culture with hip-Hollywood vintage fashions—tenders a distinguishable flair. These unique designs, by Christian Audigier, are inspired by the postmodern tattoo imagery of Don Ed Hardy, the San Francisco-based “godfather of modern tattoo.”

Not only does the clothing line offer t-shirts and hoodies for the Ed Hardy aficionado, but there is denim, kicks, sunglasses, flasks, caps, and a much-anticipated housewares collection to boot. Considered a tenderfoot in the world of fashion, Ed Hardy premiered in 2005 and experienced immediate success and popularity, especially with the Hollywood A-List crew.

Madonna, David Beckham, Pamela Anderson, and many more are attracted to Ed Hardy garb, perhaps because one can rock the style and attitude but not necessarily commit to a sleeve of permanent ink. Just a few weeks ago Ed Hardy unleashed the 2007 fall line in Las Vegas at their fashion show, Project 2007. Featuring the models from the hit reality series, “Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” this show was an explosion of fall fashion and fun. Dickinson herself is seen on her show sporting head-to-toe Ed Hardy glam and gear, which is excellent product placement for these snazzy threads.

One new collection that debuted at this show was the Ed Hardy Limited Edition Watch and Jewelry collection, available at EdHardyShop.com. Expect to see new Ed Hardy kicks, cargos, and caps with fresh designs in fab colors this fall for both men and women, available in Denver at Cool Waves in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
