Being the first time I’ve been behind the wheel of any Acura in close to 15 years, I didn’t know what to expect. I was impressed because my prior feelings, stemming only from the short stint in a wilted Integra, were that Acura was mediocre at best. The RDX has given me new hope and made me rethink my synopsis, ranking the capabilities of Acura not a far cry from those of the BMW X3 and Lexus midsize SUV.
Much to my surprise, this ride only sports a 4-Cylinder Engine. Acura’s first ever i-VTECH Turbocharged (“Technocharged,” as they like to describe it) model also yields “Super Handling All Wheel Drive”, a navigation system with real-time traffic and a premium Acura/ELS Surround Sound System. Top of the line component after feature after gadget… it was only a matter of time before this Japanese auto manufacturer stepped up and showed its colors like the Japanese know how. Enjoy this smooth sailing ride of the month for under $40k loaded and down in the $32k range if you are not too finicky about your extras.
